[Diet] Here we go again.
So. Got a Wii Fit. Thus far its tracking features seem to serve the same purpose as a trainer, in which it gives me an expectation that I'll get up and do the work. It's not much, but half an hour of moving on a more regular basis can't help but be a good thing. I can tell some places where I'm slightly sore from the last couple of days -- it's not as challenging as the workout I've done at the gym, at least not at this stage, but I'm also doing it regularly and my body isn't already used to it. Also, yoga is hard but it makes me think I should really consider trying to take some classes again. Of course, now that I have time, I have no money. Such is the way of things.
Didn't have any soda yesterday. Didn't have any cokes the day before, though there was some soda -- I did go to a party, after all. Don't have any in the house, and don't have a vending machine selling them for a quarter either a few feet away. If anything will cut down on my consumption, that will be it.
Yesterday I had coffee to study with -- that, by the way, was an error, as the iced coffee drink at Tutta Bella has two shots of espresso in it. Holy overcaffination, Batman. I was basically buzzing until far into the evening. Not really a good feeling. Argh.
Again, back on the cooking thing. Still have homemade chicken nuggets and leftover baked sweet potato fries to finish off. Bought a whole chicken with plans to roast it this week -- we'll see how far we get. We'll have tacos once the boys are back and I'll be making ratatouille today, with leftovers for all of us this week.
I am on the shady side of broke and want desperately to be irresponsible, but I'm trying very hard not to. This was not helped by wandering through Andaluz yesterday and seeing stuff like this totally awesome floppy straw hat that actually looks really nice on me for 1/2 off of 1/2 off, or the perfect early Xmas present for a friend, or that totally awesome dress or longsleeved T-shirt.... Sigh. And all reasonably priced, if I had money to spend. Well, maybe except the shirt. But it was so awesome and it would last me a really long time, and I think it would look really good on me.... it's okay to own clothing that costs a bit more (but not an impossible amount) if it works for you and it'll last you years, really it is. Really. And rewarding one's self with not-food things is a far, far better thing, right? Right? Right. Sigh.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, V-8, 1 piece of whole grain toast, 1 cup of unsweetened raspberry green tea.
Lunch: 2 slices fresh banana bread. Hey man, I'm only human. Iceberg lettuce salad with cheese, salsa, sour cream. Sparkling water.
Snack: None.
Dinner: cheese and whole grain crackers, 1 root beer, 1 oreo.
Went over to see Trey and hadn't had dinner. Oops. Wasn't very hungry any way, though.
