Tattoo!
So I've been planning for a while to get a tattoo -- got the sketch worked out and everything with Nigel Sade, who has done a fabulous job in working with me on the art.
During this week's sojourn in Cleveland,
innocent_man let me know he was wanting to get a tattoo as well (a gorgeous coral snake around his ankle) and offered to take me to his friend, who owns a tattoo shop in Wooster, OH. Moving Pictures Tattoo Studio is the place, and Laura was the artist who did the work.
Here's the close-up:

And here's the larger shot for an idea of placement--sorry, it's slightly blurry:

I have to say... I absolutely love it. It just feels right, and I think it suits me. :) And the placement of it is such that although it's in front, it's not going to show unless I choose to wear something that shows it.
Matt's is likewise gorgeous, but I don't have a good pic of that at the moment. It also suits him, though.
The getting of it... well, that stung a bit. And I discovered belatedly that I should have eaten before I went. I just asked for a break, but everyone looked at me and someone went off to get me orange juice and water, and they turned a fan to blow on me, and they wouldn't let me stand up, so evidently I was unusually pale or something. "Blood sugar crash" was mentioned, and there was a definitely a bit of wooziness. Once I ate something I felt a lot better, though, enough so that I got through the rest of it without complaint. It wasn't bad, though, even though I evidently got it in a somewhat more painful area--not as painful as over bone, but a touch tender. I'll suffer a bit for beauty, though.
I'm so very pleased with it, honestly. I'm really glad I got it done. Go me.

Congrats on the tattoo! It really is nice. Reminds me a bit of a harp.
So, when are you gonna get your next tat? :D

As for the next one, hah. When I get the concept nailed down and I get some good art and I get a bigger revenue stream. And, in theory, when I lose more weight. But if I get the other things in place first, I may just move forward with it anyway. *grin*

I'm sort of like Daffy Duck ... to paraphrase: "I'm not like other people: I can't stand pain: it hurts me."
'Cause I pretty much suck at the doctor's office, too. Oy.

I didn't have a blood sugar crash when I got mine (I don't remember why not on the first one and on the second one, I was pretty drunk).
