ANOTHER sick day....

Alisdair is sick again. This makes the third time for him since the beginning of the year. So far today we've had very low fever, coughing, drainage, and a brief spat of vomiting, neatly contained. Since he had almost nothing in his stomach at the time, I think it was mainly drainage related.

What fun.

Could be worse, though. Mostly it's that I have no sick days left, and yet have to stay home with him. I'm also sort of between projects, so I have no work I can bring home. I've got some freelancing I can finish up and some criticism I can do for the workshop on Friday, so I'm not altogether emptyhanded today, but I feel bad about not being at work. I keep thinking that one of these days my boss is going to be really upset with me, which is a discomforting sensation. Ah well. Anyway, don't be surprised if I post a few more times than usual today. It's just going to be one of those days.

I sympathize, girl. I truly do.

My wife's home with the kid today. As fate prescribed, the kid's fine...and my wife's sick.

Many sympathies...

I know *exactly* how you feel. It seems like Ethan is well for a couple days and then comes down with something else. There are times when it seems like daycare is actually more of a hassle than a boon. I've burnt up sick days at the day job like there's no tomorrow.

Hopefully it will get better soon.

Oy, tell me about it -- I've taken nearly 100 hours of vacation, sick, and personal time since the beginning of the year, which includes all last year's carryover. :( I'm not getting any stick about it... yet... but Alex has been getting a really hard time from his bosses about the time he's had to take off because of the bunny's illness.

Sounds like he's got that bug that everyone's been getting that seems virtually unshakeable. Poor wee man. I'm hopeful that it'll start to fizzle out now that it's spring -- I still feel a bit phlegmy, myself. Argh.

Are things that laidback and easy there now that you actually have time between projects? Wow.

It's a scheduling glitch. And my boss managed to dig up something for me for the following day, so that's something.
