My mom called tonight. My grandfather's dying. I don't have plane fare until the 23rd, and even then can ill afford it, but I can't miss the funeral. My dad needs me, and I need to say good bye.

I named my youngest after him. I didn't get to see him last time I visited the state because he was sleeping when we went by, and we didn't want to wake him.

God damn it.

EDIT: I was asked if I had a paypal account. I do. I am hesitant to put it up because I hate asking for money, especially when I don't know if I can pay it back immediately. At the same time... well, it's a fool who turns down the help of a friend. That's part of what friends do, after all, is help each other from time to time, and I know when I'm on the helping end, which I am from time to time, I don't tend to see the point in taking no for an answer. *deep breath*

Emergency bereavement fare (or family emergency fare or something like that). Ask for it when you make a reservation. Some airlines will give you a break on the fare for family emergencies.
