Two boys came by my yard tonight and recognized Rosie. They called her Sassy, and she acted like she knew them. They knew about the scar on her back and could tell me how it happened, and apparently they lost her not long before she found me. They live in the area. I gave the older one my name and phone number and told him to have his mom call me to set up a time to come by and identify Rosie. She didn't seem deeply interested in going with them, and I don't think the older boy really thinks I'll give her back.

I'm really upset. I've gotten really attached to her, damn it, but I have a sinking she was their dog first. It's possible that the parents don't really want the dog any more, as there were no flyers and they didn't respond to any of my ads anywhere.... I don't know. Gah.

That sucks. Hopefully something can be worked out. You've had the dog just long enough now to really get attached to her. :(

There are any number of possible results of this; remember the boy who found the horse. See what happens.

Sorry. Hopefully she will end up staying with you.
