Good: This weekend in general. Spent a lot of time with the kiddos. I went to the Camlann Medieval Faire with my friend Tarisse and my boys on Saturday. We saw the obligatory jousting and fighting along with various crafts demonstrations, a juggler, and a magician. They learned how to shoot a bow and arrow and got two swords and shields. Sunday saw us at PAX, where I joined a panel on how to get into the RPG biz along with Phil Lacefield, Jr. and Tony Hellmann. We were in the big minis and open gaming room, so although we annoyed some people, we were better attended than we might otherwise have been and we got a good crowd response.
Bad: My replacement computer's video card, or effective lack thereof. It works, which is good, but I can't play any sort of game on it until I get a new video card. Good for productivity, bad for stress relief.
Bloody: Rosie is in heat. My plan to take her to the vet when I got my bonus check in proved not quick enough. Now it'll have to wait until this is over with. I'll be covering my entire house in plastic until then. Joy. SO glad I have a relatively high fence around the yard. SO unhappy to see my white couch covered with red polka dots after I got back in this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for a lack of puppies.
