Date report.

So. Nice guy. No bad date stories. We played something like 5 games of pool and he won most of them. I got a couple, though. We split a salad and some appetizers and went half and half on the bill. In the end, he had work tomorrow and some movie reviews to complete (he reviews for Amazon part time). In fact, he's working reviewing on a BBC collection of Ibsen plays. It's the sort of excuse that begs reality, but really.... who would make that up and expect to be believed?

We had fun. The evening began and ended with a handshake. He walked me to the parking lot (on the way) but not to my car.

I'd like to see him again, but if he is into me, he's being very cool about it. I think we might just end up being friends -- we got on well, but there wasn't a ton of spark there, I guess.

Eh. We'll see. I'd go out with him again if he called, though.

Um, so, I just bolted out of the bathtub thinking about this! I'm so glad there's an update, and I'm so glad you had fun! It sounds like you spent a decent amount of time together.

Like you said, if the least that comes from it is a new friend, that's a pretty successful meeting. :)

I think "low key" is probably a good sign. It gives you room to maneuver. And if you want to see him again, you can call him too, you know ;-)

Go see the Simpsons Movie or something non-threatening like that, and then get ice cream :-)
