So I put my ad up on Craigslist finally, offering our Albuquerque house up for sale. On the one hand, it's a manufactured house for which I'm behind on tax payments and have to evict a current non-paying tenant. On the other hand, it's 1800 sq. ft., includes appliances, can be moved but doesn't have to be, and I'm asking under $40K for it. It's a good house... the only reason we got a manufactured house at all is that it's the only one we found that didn't creak and seem unsound when my ex (6'5", 280 lbs at the time) walked around in it.
Given current housing prices in that town, that's a bargain no matter what. I just can't keep it any more. We were supposed to sell it as part of the divorce settlement, and it's taken me this long to overcome inertia and just do it. Let's hope it sells.
Of course, if anybody reading this here is interested in a house like that in Albuquerque, let me know. :)

I wish I could help you out with that, but New Mexico is, like, fifth on my list of places to move to.

Was I meant to be there? For a few years, I think so. Both my sons were born during my time in Albuquerque. I will not be moving back again, though. I've found my life. So no, I am not meant to be there now.
