So I signed up for Netflix earlier this month, as I don't watch much cable and don't normally rent the movies I like, and also have no car so I can't easily get them back to the nearest movie places. One of the things I picked out was Schoolhouse Rock, the collection of all of them on DVD for my kids.
The thing arrived today, and one of the options they give you is the "top ten," so I stayed in there with the kiddos while we watched it. Apparently these were the top ten favorites or something. It's amazing. I still know all the songs, which were really pretty good. It's funnier now than it was then, and my kids think they're great. Ah, the good things in life.
Oh, and I've realized that there probably isn't anyone my age in the US who doesn't owe at least one history test to the one about the Constitution, where they sing the Preamble. "We the People, in order to form a more perfect union *da dum*...." Damn. How cool is that.
