So, David dropped off his half of this month's childcare payment (since I'd already paid it all) today. I am low on cash until payday so I should be frugal and just get groceries and gas and such, right? Well, I've arranged for another small advance on my check on the 15th, so I know I'll have more money as of Tuesday. With this in mind, what do I do? Go blow a small chunk of it at Target on such necessary items as cookies, a storage basket for the kids' room, fruit bars, laundry detergent, toilet paper (the one absolutely necessary item), aaaaand three movies.
Yep. Three. They're good movies AND a couple of them were in the bargain bin, but still. Sigh. So much for fiscal responsibility.
Ah well. So that you may share in my illicit enjoyment, the movies are:
This new job has had the odd effect on me of releasing my inner shopper; it's as though it's finally been decided by some part of my psyche that limited recreational spending on something that isn't food is acceptable. And one of the movies I bought wasn't even in the bargain bin to start with! It's been a long time since I've let myself even look at anything that wasn't on a deep discount, much less actually pick it up. If this keeps up I'll have to get more storage. :)

- Big Trouble in Little China -- how could I not own that at $5? It was impossible.
- Clue -- my ex bought Clue, which I've wanted to own for years, and I've been secretly jealous ever since. It was time -- and likewise on sale for cheap.
- And last, but not least... The Addams Family, volume 3. The Addams Family! I've wanted this show for ever, but had despaired that they were ever coming out on DVD. And tonight I find that not only have they, but they're on volume 3! It's a good thing that was the only volume they had, or the retail therapy monkey on my back might have started flinging existential poo everywhere had they not come home with me. Ye gods.
