Movies and boys

This week, for some reason, the boys and I have seen a lot of things for the first time together. They weren't generally new to me, but they were new to them. Among these classics of the cinema were Ghostbusters, Top Gun (the kissing scenes had a lot more tongue than I remembered), and, of course, Animalympics. Oh, and Karate Kid II! That was quite the find, as well. It's amazing how well it stands up to the test of time... I think the fact that they got out of California and into Okinawa made a huge difference in that regard. Both the boys enjoyed it a lot. I think it's arguably better than its predecessor and I enjoyed watching it again, which surprised and amused me.

Oh, and my nerdy little heart rejoiced when they started quoting some of the better parts of Ghostbusters afterward without my prompting them. :) Awesome.
