Packing: not even close to done. Not even started, to be honest.
Laundry: pretty much done. Still some ironing to be done, if I feel inspired.
House Cleaning: Mostly done. Still have to do the bathroom and finish cleaning my room for the houseguest that'll be here while I'm gone to help watch the kids. I scrubbed the tub the other day, thank heaven. Not sure I'm up to that today.
Writing: Hah. Hah. Hahahahahahahah. I'll make an attempt, but I feel my inevitable doom fast approaching.
Shopping: Okay, I'm running low on money, time, and opportunity as David will be gone most of today picking up said houseguest. I thought I was done with all of it, but then my lone pair of shorts ripped out in a rather embarassing spot today. Now I have to decide whether to make do with pants, capri pants and skirts or to pony up the money for a last-minute purchase at Wal-Mart first thing in the morning on the way to the airport. Suck.
Money: Well, let's just say the margin is not as comfy as previously believed. It's an awfully good thing I'm getting a badge refunded in exchange for a bit of booth servitude, or food might be a wee bit on the slim side this week. Sigh.
All in all, the vacation is still a good thing. I haven't had one in a year, and the last working con vacation I had was marred by injury and stress far more than I would have liked. I'm oddly nervous about leaving David and the kids, largely because (not counting when David left me, because that's different), the last time I left him and family at home and went away for a few days to somewhere other than my parent's house (usually me with the kids, in that case) was back when my oldest was no more than a few months old. It's not that I think anything bad will happen, it's just... not something I'm used to, I guess. It'll all be okay, though.
