Writing samples

adamjury. I haven't touched the site's content since *mumble mumble*, and it's terribly outdated. Specifically, one of the big areas that need updating is the writing samples. I know I'd like to put something from Ex Machina, but I need two more, at least. I'm therefore taking a poll. If I've written something that you've particularly liked, especially if you can identify a specific portion of the work you enjoyed, please respond here. I'm looking to keep the sample length between 1K-2K, so as much detail as you can provide in narrowing down the text would be greatly appreciated.
