Happy birthday Don! AKA random thoughts

And Alisdair, of course. My oldest turns 9 today. We dropped off cupcakes and juice boxes at his school this morning. He was very excited. Saturday is his party. We're going bowling with 6 of his friends. I am afraid. :)

In other news, the national news is such that I can't really bring myself to comment on any of it here of late. It seems that so many people on my LJ have said the things I've been thinking, and better than I ever could, so I think I'll just leave it at that.

I get paid tomorrow. Yay!

An old friend with whom I'd lost contact just emailed me yesterday, having found my name on RPGnet! I'm so pleased to hear from him again that I'm practically twitterpated. I can count on one hand the number of people in my life who've disappeared and then later sought me out. That he has done so means more than I could possibly express.

I am left wondering how much it would cost to visit Scotland. :)

My contract has been extended through mid November, so the job-hunting crisis has been averted. Yay me.

Still no computer news. My patience wanes.
