Mother's Day!
May. 13th, 2007 02:24 pmSo. Kiddos made cards for me at school. They are... well, totally awesome. I can't even bring myself to correct their spelling, that's how awesome they are. Will also made me a picture frame with a picture of himself in it. It's pretty cool. I'll be taking it to work to hang on the bulletin board there.
I went to the greenhouse yesterday. I really wanted one of those "color bowls," those low pots you can put on your porch with all sorts of flowers planted in it, but I didn't get that. Instead I bought flowers... geraniums, african daisies, and snapdragons, and then some vegetable plants for my first real attempt at a vegetable garden -- tomatoes, cucumbers, and corn. I'll probably go back and get some bell peppers or maybe beans or something eventually. I also bought rose food for the two neglected rose plants I have hereabouts. I weeded all around one of them, and then I put down the rose food and watered it in. Happily, when I went to the greenhouse and said, "I don't know what I'm doing!" they were knowledgeable enough to help.
David did not arrange to do anything with the boys for Mother's Day. That's okay, though, because he's going to bring me a coke and a frozen pizza, as those sound good and the boys have neighborhood friends over so I can't leave. Hah. I win. :)
I am feeling better. The antibiotics are doing a great job, and I should be all better by next Wednesday. I've realized that my younger son is wheezing, though, so I need to get him to the doc. He's not coughing like I've been doing, but if we've got the same thing, I can't just let that go.
Anyway. Happy Mother's Day, everyone!
