Whew. *pant*
Jun. 19th, 2007 10:22 pmI have work to do for a couple of freelance thingys, but my brain is all mooshy and so I shall not tonight. I wouldn't get anything of note done anyway, and I hate rewriting stuff I've already done.
I returned home from a trip to Cali this morning. I again neglected to mention it here beforehand. My bad. I spent most of it doing nothing, though, which was exactly what I needed. The highlights of my trip were as follows:
1) Going to Art Fibers, a yarn shop like none I had ever seen (www.artfibers.com). All their yarn is custom made for them. I got little "yarntastings," which are small samples, of a number of different yarns as I could by no means buy all I wanted then. I did purchase one ball of yarn and a pattern for a lacy, light-but-warm scarf/shawl/wrap thingy. I also purchased a pattern for a really nifty shrug and a tube scarf, and a small ball of really fabulous yarn.
( Yarn links are behind the cut )
2) Taking Brannon out to dinner with my friends. How much fun was that? Lots!
3) Seeing a 6th-grade production of Much Ado About Nothing. Very cute. The only downside is that it was in Modesto on the hottest day yet of the year, and that I'd developed a screaming headache by the end of the day. Bah.
Still and all, it was a wonderful trip. I look forward to going back again.
