Man, that movie frickin' sucks.
Dec. 14th, 2007 10:41 pmHow The Grinch Stole Christmas was on earlier this evening (not the awesome animated version but the Jim Carrey live-action trainwreck) and my children talked me into watching it with them. All I can say is, my God it sucked. It sucked in ways that black holes could envy. For those poor misguided souls who look at Batman and Robin as the worst movie ever, all I have to do is point to this movie and they are forever proven wrong. Keee-rist, man. Just so bad.
In other news, I have been totally won over by the Columbia City Ale House. Not only can I get Blackthorn cider on tap, but their green chile tuna melt redefines awesome. It's addictive, frankly, especially since I developed a small addiction to green chile when I lived in New Mexico but was unable to maintain it after moving away. It's really hard to get good chile up here, much less to find a restaurant who has any clue what to do with it. It's also worth noting that if you'd asked me before trying this sandwich if you should put chile on a tuna melt, my answer would likely have been no, having no great fondness for tuna melts in the first place. Oh brother, was I wrong. Their other food is good as well, but when I start jonesing for green chile, this is now where I go.
In yet other news, I've finally gotten an official specific start date of 1-7. This is actually good news, as it lets me get money throughout December without having to try to deal with going to my parents for Christmas with no way of getting paid. It does mean that I'm likely to need to push back my birthday party to after mid-February as it'll take that long to get my finances up and running again, but that's not a huge problem. It'll just be good to get cash coming in again.
