Happy New Year!
Dec. 31st, 2007 10:42 pmIt's after midnight here and the New Year has arrived. 2008 has the possibility of being the best year I've seen in a long, long time. 2007 was definitely not the worst I've seen, but things can always improve.
As it stands, I'm really grateful for where things are. I'm back in school and I'll have my AA before summer comes. I have wonderful friends who care about me and whose company I enjoy, and I seem to be successfully making more friends, which is awesome. It's been years since I've had an awesome social circle locally and I'm really excited about it. I've got plans for some fun stuff for the next year and apparently the cash flow to make it happen... a few months from now, anyway. I have a great job opportunity that has an excellent chance of going well and I ended the year with a successful date in which no bad date stories were earned!
My family loves me and tries really hard to be there for me, even if I do feel like a fish out of water half the time when I'm home. My kids are doing well and making a lot of progress, my dog loves me, and it seems like I might finally be able to get ahead a bit in the coming year. I hope that all my family, friends, and colleagues have similar luck and good fortune in 2008. :)
