Alright, the damn movies meme.
Mar. 17th, 2008 09:09 pmSo enough of my friends are doing the 100 movies thing that I realized I'm keeping track whenever I see a new movie, even though I haven't been writing it down. Therefore, I'm just going to write the things down and see how many I get through this year.
1. Mansfield Park
It's a BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park starring Billie Piper. This is one of two Austen books I haven't read before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I have to say, though, that it didn't do much for me. I can't really presume it's the story entirely, although I know it's not one of her best. I do think given the length that they must have cut the hell out of it. The character development strikes me as anti-climactic, the acting doesn't impress me, and no man is attractive when covered in leeches, no matter how buff. Alas, it's an Austen I cannot love.
Although, it is keeping me entertained while I procrastinate on writing yet again, so there is something to be said for it.
Oh yes, I'm feeling better. Ended up lying down for a moment and awoke three hours later.
