So, after gadding about like a social butterfly for the past two weekends, I spent last weekend at home, cleaning. Well, not just cleaning. Thoroughly horrified by the sheer amount of clutter in my home, I set forth on a two-fold initiative.

It wasn't all work this weekend, though. I went to the U-District and picked up some Ars Magica 5th books at The Dreaming on Saturday, and then I met up with Misty that afternoon and we wandered around the sidewalk sales at University Village and chatted and just generally got caught up. I hadn't seen Misty very much at all since my job at MGS ended, and it was really good to spend some time with her. We even got silly and played in one of the copious fountains there like the sun-deprived Seattlites we are, despite the 60-degree temperatures, as well as me teaching her a little bit of basic salsa and belly dance moves, much to the amusement of passers-by.
...
And now, The Princess Bride is on -- and my kids have no memory of seeing before. Tonight will be good, and maybe I'll overcome the cranky state of mind that's beset me today.
- I sorted through everything in the living room, filing important papers and filling the recycling bin with nearly everything else -- except for what got put away or put in the Goodwill pile.
- I got my ass down to IKEA for their bi-yearly sale and picked up two bookcases and a new computer desk.
