Anti-climax
Mar. 20th, 2010 09:12 pmGot my official rejection from Ohio State today. Not that it really affects anything, mind you, but it's sort of nice to have the last response out of the way.
Made potato-crab chowder today, which was pretty good. It was supposed to have creamed corn in it -- I hate corn in soups and such, though, so no corn for me. As a result, it was a bit thinner than it was probably supposed to have been, but I can adjust for that next time I make it. It's a pretty good start all things considered, and it's a Cooking Light recipe so I'm not going to keel over from cholesterol or something as a result of it. Next time I'd add more salt, possibly a little bit of cayenne pepper, and more crab. It's still worth having, though, even without those additions. Go me.
Got some work on my paper done. Got some knitting done. Got a shift of work done. Drank too much coffee in the evening. I'm going to work a bit more on my paper and get the rest of my sources isolated, and tomorrow will see writing in earnest. I turned down a chance to see Alice in Wonderland tomorrow morning to work on my paper, so I'm darn well going to make it count. Go me again.
