So I finally used the free movie passes I'd gotten for Christmas from my former employer this evening. In celebration of William's 10th birthday and both my kiddos doing what they can on the WASL rather than giving up, we went to the new theater at Southcenter and went to see Monsters vs. Aliens in the IMAX 3D theater. While the basic movie may not be the best animated film I've ever seen, the 3D effects were good, the jokes were funny, and I did laugh out loud a few times. The story doesn't exactly hold up to repeat viewings, I'd imagine, but the voice work was pretty good and I felt pretty pleased at it. The kids loved it and were very happy -- that made it worth it.

So, yeah. IMAX 3D is worth going to, definitely. I hope everyone had as good a time this evening. :)
