Discovered that my hate for Benadyrl and what it does to my coping skills continues unabated. However, I've also discovered Benadryl gel, which is a nice topical analgesic that stops the itch and mitigates the hives with a more-or-less minimal affect on my brain chemistry. It's still there, mind you -- I'm still somewhat spacey and lethargic and whatnot, but it's not overwhelming thanks to the much smaller dose. It's something I can compensate for with sufficient caffeine, for example, as opposed to just falling over and being content to breathe. I can still function, which is understandably important to me.
Oh, and have I mentioned that my typing starts going to hell once it starts taking effect? So. Not. Happy. About. This. You don't want to know how many typos I've corrected in this alone.
