So in addition to reading sources and making breakfast and all that jazz, I've re-upped my auto insurance with another company (Progressive, the ads not withstanding) and verified my renters insurance for the move. I have to call next week and make sure it applies to my stuff while I'm moving, because that's something I really need to know. I didn't switch it over with my car insurance because I've already paid for the year -- why move it over just to purchase it again? It'll come due in August and I'll take care of it then, when I'm in my new apartment/house/duplex/whatever.

I'd had a lapse in my insurance this year, as the premium was high enough that I just couldn't keep up with it. It was the first time in years that I'd done that. There just wasn't a way around it, though. It's fixed now, however, and if my premium went up from what it would have been as a result... well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. It'll resolve eventually (and definitely when I move, as Ohio is so much cheaper on car insurance that it's not even funny).

So, among the big things of paperwork left, I have

  • Getting my street permit for the moving trailer. It'll be somewhere between $100 & $200 dollars. That sucks, but there's nothing else for it -- they can't use my driveway, it's too sloped and my landlord's van and stuff is already there, and it's not going anywhere any time soon.

  • Getting my medical records.

  • Getting Rosie's shots and shot records.

  • Getting the boys their replacement social security cards... although honestly, I won't feel terrible if I don't get this done. They can do it when they actually need them.

  • Paying off my school -- this is a not insignificant thing, and it's going to take some doing, especially as I have to have it paid off by the end of the quarter in order to get a final transcript to give to CWRU in order to actually attend. I got financial aid, but I've had some things come up that I can't put off any longer. I've pulled from my moving fund to redress these issues, but it still probably isn't enough. We'll see.

  • All my schoolwork. 'Nuff said.

  • Changing my address with everyone who needs my address changed with them. I'll manage somehow. I've already started with my school.

  • It's workable -- some of the biggest ones I've already taken care of. It just needs to be finished up. I'll get there, though.
