I am a complete and utter idiot. That is all.

Congratulations! Pinnacles are hard to reach.

Dare I ask what has led to this achievement?

Uh oh, what have you done? You can't just leave us hanging like that...

Date: 2005-11-03 04:19 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] anidada.livejournal.com
Can't be that bad. *hug*

Hubris and an inability to keep my big mouth shut. :)

Date: 2005-11-03 04:43 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] anaka.livejournal.com
It's not that bad. I just did something I know full well better than to do, and in the clear light of hindsight, I can see it circling back even now to bite me in the ass in a few weeks.

Date: 2005-11-03 04:46 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] anaka.livejournal.com
It isn't. It's just that stupid. No worries, m'dear. It's not terminal, just chronic.

In what arena? Work? Kids? Dating?

C'mon, you gotta be more specific :)

Date: 2005-11-03 05:30 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] anaka.livejournal.com
Heh. Well, no, I don't, but I take your point. It's sort of work related -- although lately, I'm pretty sure it's not the only area these problems are showing up in. It feels more like a trend than an isolated incident. It's just one of those things where I'll be buckling down and riding the storm out, repeating the mantra "just two months 'till next year, just two months 'till next year..."

Oh, and I apparently have to consider finding a date for my company Christmas party. Ye Gods. I mean, I suppose I don't have to... but it would be nice.

Date: 2005-11-03 05:58 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] eynowd.livejournal.com
Well, the fact that you're realising it could be a trend is good. It means you're becoming conscious of it, and so can take steps - however small they may be at the start - to stop the pattern repeating again.

As for the date, can't help you with that one :)

I think it depends on whether or not when you check into the room, they have a pair of spare underwear waiting for you.

This sounds like the sort of thing you could recruit any old freelancer for; there'll be free food, right? And no need for an emotional attachment? Can your freelancer date bring his wife? and kids?

Spike

Hey, I don't want to here it. I /own/ the Motel 6 in Idiotville. ;)

Date: 2005-11-03 01:31 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] themoocow.livejournal.com
It could be worse. Probably. Maybe. Ok, no it can't. You've done it now, we're all doomed. Doomed!! ;P

*wuffle*

Alright. What'd you do? Keep in mind I have a real hard time fitting you into the idiot mold.

I am a complete and utter idiot.

Thank God! I thought I was the only one.

Date: 2005-11-03 04:50 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] anidada.livejournal.com
Ah, understood. I have that, too! *snort* Let's just hope it's not genetic, for the sake of the kids... ;D

*hugs* Try not to dwell on it, tho, 'kay?

Date: 2005-11-03 05:49 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] anaka.livejournal.com
Free food, a fun party, but I only get one guest. And no, emotional attachment other than "hey, I don't mind spending an evening hanging out with you" is not required. :)

Date: 2005-11-03 07:01 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] mercuryeric.livejournal.com
Yeah. I have no frame of reference for that.

Ahem.

Feel free to vent privately my way, if required. :)

I thought we were doomed when you volunteered to put on the back half of the cow... oops, I've said too much. :)

*hug*

Heh. Not likely. *hug*

Idiocy aside...
Did you receive my review of Ex Machina?

Date: 2005-11-04 03:10 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] anaka.livejournal.com
No, I didn't. I'd like to, though.

Date: 2005-11-13 03:43 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] pgoodman13.livejournal.com
So you're the one who bought it off me....

I can't imagine that anything idiotic you've done is more idiotic than some of the things I've done recently. If you wanna talk about it privately, you know how to get hold of me.
