Damn birthday.

Okay, so next weekend is my birthday. I meant to have a party, but I ended up not starting planning in time, and now it's both too late to get anywhere party-ish (my birthday being super bowl weekend) and too late to invite people. So, barring that, I need something fun to go do. David's keeping the kids all weekend as sort of a present to me, so I have time and could actually go out of town a bit, so long as it isn't too far or too expensive. Thoughts? Suggestions?

There are a plethora of events going on that weekend, as always. I am... unusued to going out by myself, and yet by myself it must be, so I'm not sure what to do with that. The spa thing might be a good idea, though. One pretty much has to do that by oneself. Hadn't considered that previously. Thanks.

Eventually I'll get to the point where I don't quietly freak out over the thought of going out alone to do stuff. I just spent so long as part of a couple that everything seems incomplete unless I've got someone there to talk about things with. Not much to do about that, though.
