The following formula seems to produce observable, repeatable results:

Less than 6 hours sleep + Michelle = big fucking headache.

Hypothesis should be suffiiciently tested. Stop doing that.

Man, seriously. We should form a club.

One with nice cushy seats. And tylenol.

And no bright overhead lighting.

I hate overhead lighting.

Seriously, with the hate.

Oh yeah. Today my office light is out and my desk lamp is the only thing between me and sitting in the dark. And it's facing away from me. Really, the only thing worse than overhead lighting is overhead lighting with a ceiling fan, for that inescapable strobe effect. Gaaaaaah.

Yow, that sucks. I usually only feel really tired and punchy if I have less than 5-6 hours of sleep, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the headaches I've had in the past have been due to something similar.

Yeah, definitely stop doing that. Getting a minimum of 6 hours of sleep (with plenty of water, vitamins and plain rest when you can) is your best bet IF you have to short yourself on sleep in order to get things done. *hug* Hope you feel better later.

I'm working on the water and vitamins thing. Man, I really need to find a way to keep my diet from just going to hell on the weekend. I do pretty well during the week at work, but it's like when I get home, I can't be bothered to even fill my water glass.

*nod* I hear you. Since I lost some of my weight, I'm determined to keep it off, and that means trying to stay away from soda and chips and such. It's not very easy usually, but due to financial circumstances I can tell myself that I can't really afford them, and that helps me curb them a lot. Keeping a pitcher of cold water in the fridge has helped me some. That way I turn to it when I get thirsty instead of drinking tea, soda, coffee or some of the kids' juice. (Juice is good, but I'd rather they get the lion's share of it.)

On the weekends, it's so easy to slack in the diet department. Maybe there's a way to account for it.

I'll drink 120 oz of water on a weekday just through keeping my big-ass superhero cup full of water, but I'm lucky if I remember to drink 40 a day on the weekends. During the week I've almost cut out soda entirely... if I have to get one at work, I get a diet MUG root beer, because it fills the craving and yet I will never come to like diet MUG root beer... sort of aversion therapy. On the weekends, though, I'll go out to eat once or twice and I still get cokes there without thinking. Overall this isn't terrible, but it's certainly not ideal.

*nod* Well, having a coke now and then isn't bad. At least that's how I feel about it. But if you want to stick to your guns, maybe switching to drinking a non-caffinated soda (like Sprite or a ginger ale) or a flavored iced tea instead will help make the transition easier. (Whenever I go to the fast food restaurants, I like to look for the Lipton raspberry tea. It's tasty and probably has less sugar and caffiene than a Pepsi, for instance. But now and then I'll give in and have a Cherry Coke. ;))

Overhead lighting is the bomb. The good bomb. The kind that doesn't land on villagers.

Not when your head is achy.

See now me, I've been getting 4-6 hours of sleep a night on a regular basis for weeks. Not as much fun as sleeping in, maybe, but half the time it seems like by the time I get home and fix dinner for myself (and possibly kids) that I've got maybe an hour before I *should* go to sleep. Naturally, that's just not enough and I stay up too late.

Sorry for the headache though. :(
