"Death is like a present, and life is like the wrapping paper. When you get to your death day, the wrapping paper just comes off!" -- Alisdair, being philosophical while creating cosmology for his latest superhero.

"Can I use the phone, Mom?" -- Will, when handing me a scrap of paper with the names and number of TWO little girls on it. TWO. *headdesk*

"FLASH! AAAAHaaaaaah!" -- sung in unison by my children in the Denny's this morning/afternoon when we went out to eat.

"Put it in the furnace! Put it in the furnace! Put it in the furnace!" -- chanted in unison by my children when pretending to be the bad guys they would later defeat.

"Remember when we were little, and I gave that guy a wedgie? *evil chuckle*" --said by William roughly two beats later as he got fully into character.

OMIGOD. This is PRICELESS!! Keep track of these, my dear. I smell book contract!! (I want to know how they knew about the "Flash Gordon" song - in fact how do YOU know about it? you're only like 16 yrs old yourself!!!)

A combination of a "Queen's Greatest Hits" CD in the possession of my ex AND the fact that we have Flash Gordon on VHS. Heck, I saw it back when it hit HBO for the first time -- they loved to use it for filler. :)

My boys also do a pretty good rendition of "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" as well. I'm apparently raising a boy band.

Yep, that's my boys. :D

And hey, the Queen greatest hits album is better than the Weird Al albums they also love to hear, right?

*sob*

Oh, and I forgot to tell you. Alisdair was channeling Wierd Al today and started making up kobold anthems based on a cross between Wierd Al and Queen. "I am the kobold mining champion" was one of them, I think, sort of to the tune of "We Are The Champions."

You so never get to question their paternity. Just saying. :)
