So, things progress. The dance was a rousing success. I have video of a bit of it, though it has no sound, which is disappointing. I do not, however, have it anywhere but my digital camera yet. I've had a couple of requests to put it up, but I'll be frank in that I fear becoming the next lightsaber kid. I am thus still undecided. I am out of lessons so dancing will go on hiatus for now, until or unless I work up the nerve to go elsewhere. It'll be a little bit before I can finish paying it off, so I better get used to the idea of going out, given the investment thus far. :)
I have freelance work up to my eyeballs, which is good. I have to leave on Saturday for Oklahoma, which is less so. I will be arranging to ship my computer so I'll have use of it at Mom's house -- drastic measures, perhaps, but I have the box and styrofoam it came in, so it'll be as safe as anything, I hope. Not taking it on the plane, though. Those bastards broke one of the feet off my suitcase last trip -- no way the cargo handlers get trusted with my computer. Now if only I could ship my internet connection home as well. Let's hope the work can be sent with dial-up. If not, we'll have a rousing game of "find a library with DSL in rural Oklahoma where I can use my USB drive."
Christmas edges closer, but I have some idea what Santa is bringing for boys. It's too bad he has to wait until the last minute to come up with this stuff, but such is the way of things. Overall, though, I think it'll be a good holiday. I'm happy about that.
