Re: asparagus. I went ahead and did the olive oil/garlic powder/oven thing. I can see now how the lemon juice would go well too. Very easy, very good. Thank you all for your suggestions. :)

Re: being stood up. Following the standing up, I had attempted to message said individual when I saw they were online later that night. No response, and in fact they went offline shortly after my message was sent. No further communication during the weekend either, at least, not until last night. Last night the guy messaged me and said hi. I asked him what happened on Friday, and he suddenly stopped talking. After giving him something like 20 minutes to respond, I thanked him for the chat and then blocked his messages/defriended him.

I really am a pretty easygoing person, happy to give the benefit of the doubt in nearly any circumstance. I am not, however, an woman who has the time and drama quotient to have jerks in her life. He can go hit on someone else. What an idjit.

Yeah, that guy's behavior sounds pretty odd (not in a good way)...best avoided. :/
