Tonight we had our group presentation. We went first out of the whole class, and we totally, TOTALLY, rocked. We put a lot of work into it and everybody had a great time. The teacher said that we'd done one of the best presentations of the class ever. We totally ripped off something like 6 different board games/game shows along the way -- Cranium, party/mini games, $10,000 Pyramid, Pictionary/Win, Lose, or Draw, magnetic poetry, relay races, and any show that features lovely assistants as part of the oevure. Capped off by a non-musical musical interlude in which we translated Snoop Dogg lyrics into proper English and a host of Tom Lehrer songs (specifically ones he wrote for the Electric Company), and it was within a couple of blocks of being a multimedia extravaganza. :)

Who's the game designer? That's right, I'm the motherfuckin' game designer. Boo yah, bitch. *grin*

When will this magnum opus be available on DVD?

Alas, we had no recording devices. Such is the way of things. :)

What kind of presentation was it?

We had to effectively teach half of a two-hour class, covering material we've dealt with over the year. This is an English 101 class, so the mix is about half classic short literature and poems, half grammar and punctuation. Our group made a game out of it, taking sort of a game show vibe to the whole thing. We took our primary influence from Cranium with the four categories of questions, but we made it points based rather than using a game board. We also added a "lightning round" for the second half -- the first half each of three teams answered questions one team at a time, while in the second round, each question was a race between all three teams.

I could go into more detail about question types and whatnot, but that's almost certainly more information than you're looking for. If it's not, though, I'll happily ramble on. :)

That's pretty cool! I'm all about flashy presentations that are fun but also to the point. ^_^

If you wish to ramble on I'll happily read it, but if it's too much trouble my curiosity had been adequately sated.
