... Scheduled an EEG for Alisdair. It's an "awake and drowsy" EEG, which means he can only have 4 hours sleep the night before. FOUR HOURS. Have you ever tried to keep a 9 yr old up all night? Oh, and no caffiene (soda, coffee, tea, chocolate) after midnight. Oy veh.
... Looking seriously at trying for Clarion West. Talked to the ex, whose response was "Oh, sure. That might suck a bit, but we could handle it." Totally not what I was expecting the answer to be, which was "this will be an insurmountable problem." I suck at predicting this stuff. The pondering continues. Cory Doctorow will be teaching there next year. I am all about that. Daaamn.
... Therapy for boy is expensive. :(
... Um... can't think of much else. Need a haircut, have tomatoes growing, need to pick up a dessert for tonight.... gah.

Staying Up
Date: 2007-07-28 04:47 pm (UTC)From:When I was a boy (about a thousand years ago) I stayed up all night twice, once just to see if I could do it (this involved too many Hawkman and Justice League comic books), and once when one of the many (then) really local and independent stations ran a 24 hour scf-fi, monster, and horror movie marathon.
Perhaps you should stock up a stack of movies.
(the bastards also ran the original Night of the Living Dead at 2:00 AM. Bastards. Scared the hell out of me. I'm NOT recommending THAT.)
