Mom and Dad finally arrived a day late after being held up in Houston thanks to storms and resultingly missed connecting flights. It was apparently quite an adventure. We had dinner out together last night at Outback Steakhouse (yay) and then I took them to the grocery store. Their hotel is one of those extended stay places with a kitchenette, so they wanted to get some breakfast stuff for the next morning. The boys were so, so excited. I don't think they've jabbered that much in ages, and they both had to sit by Grandma wherever we were. It was mandatory.
We got home around 10 and both boys were totally exhausted. Of course, I was woken up this morning at nigh-unto 7 AM by a boy standing over my bed, saying "Is it time to go see Grandma? Come on, Mom!" Of course, I'd downloaded a new puzzle game from Big Fish Games last night after I got home (note: late supper and Coca-cola do not equate to sleep) that I'd played somewhat previously. I ended up staying up until 1:30 burning through puzzles like there was no tomorrow. Pre-7 AM was not a friendly time for me.
Today the boys are with Mom and Dad, and apparently she wants to take them shopping. I'd hoped to go with them when they did that, but such is the way of things.
Rosie has accepted her new bed location and even went in to sleep there without me last night. Awesome. My living room feels oddly spacious now that I'm not tripping over her bed all the time. Of course, it also needs to be vacuumed now... *whistles distractingly* As a reward, I brought her back the leftovers from Outback, including the rib bones from Alisdair's rib platter. She was very happy. Go me.
