1. Qdoba's shredded pork is actually really good.

2. I finally bought file folders for my new filebox thingy and a new filter for my vacuum. Also, pear cider. Mmmmm pear cider.

3. Got the haircut. It's shorter than it has been in a while and I love it. Go Casey (my stylist). She rocks.

4. I bit the bullet and bought a dutch oven. For that matter, I bought a cast iron dutch oven because I'm tired of not being able to make stews and roasts and soups and all that sort of good stuff. This is my first piece of cast-iron-y goodness, and I'm looking forward to playing with it. Seems odd to have to oil up a piece of cookware, but I shall learn -- oh yes, I shall learn. The store I bought it in was slightly spendy, but this was one of the better deals they had, all hidden back behind the Le Creuset (OMG. So pretty, but So Expensive. Daaaamn.). I haven't decided what to make in it first. We shall see.

Le Creuset pots are ridiculously expensive, but SOOOO wonderful. I have an old Dutch oven of theirs Jane got on eBay for (relatively) cheap. It's my kitchen workhorse.
