I had no soda of any kind this weekend, despite the fact that I wanted it. In fact, I didn't have it on Friday either. I have a liter of flat 7up in the house that's being poured down the drain today. This is not to say I won't break down and have a soda in the next day or so, but one once a week is well within my acceptable range.
So. 3 days without. I rock.
We'll see how long I can hold out. :)

Date: 2007-12-03 10:22 pm (UTC)From:Basically, the mix of HFCS and caffeine send my blood pressure through the roof, while caffeine alone doesn't affect me nearly so strongly, at least not at the level I'm accustomed to. I should quit caffeine altogether, but we're focusing on one thing at a time right now. :) Thankfully I've found chai along with some other types of tea that I don't seem to need sweetened. Go me.

Date: 2007-12-04 07:20 pm (UTC)From:I've switched to coffee for my caffiene needs. At one point, I drank close to 3 liters a day. By myself. And when I quit (almost cold turkey) I was sweaty and got the shakes. It was horrid, let me tell ya. And once I got over the detox, I was fine. But for awhile, oy. It was a nightmare. Even now, if I have anything with caffiene in it past like 3 pm or so, I can't sleep that night. Don't know why. I just can't.
