Well, that was probably the least nutritious dinner I've had in some time. I'm dealing with reflux tonight and it hurts, and I've got craving stuff going on, so I gave in and got a coke (and they're now officially off-limits until next Sunday/Monday). I also picked up instant mashed potatoes given my awful carb cravings... I'm serious, man. Sugary stuff, bread, everything in the grocery store that was even close to a simple carb was setting me off. It was unreal. When I got home I'd almost resolved not to fix it, but then I saw the package of brown sugar and was prepared to just dive in. Bloody hell, man. I did not, but for a moment I wanted to.

I added in some packaged grilled chicken strips for protein and voila! Dinner. It's the same stuff I ate during my pregnancy, when this kind of thing was all I could keep down. So sad. I'm going to have to have some fruit or something tonight just to try to even it all out.

That said, I do feel better now.

*shakes head at self*

I'm proud of you for making such healthy changes, and for staying off soda for so long. One day you'll look back and wonder how you ever drank the stuff. :)

It's winter. Carb cravings are to be expected, really. But instant mashed potatoes? EEEEEEEEEW. At least buy potatoes and do them yourself! :-P

And I thought I was the only person who eats brown sugar right out of the box. Heh.

Hah. No, though I do limit myself to times when I actually use brown sugar by and large.
