I know this is late, but it's worth putting up here. Halloween was a blast with the kiddos. They wre big enough to not be scared of going up to houses this year, and it wasn't too cold, so things were good. They covered a good mile or more going hither and yon, with us in tow. Before we were through, David and I were carrying the bags because they were too heavy for the kiddos (and because the large rectangular functioned like a sail when held by the smaller boy).

As you can tell, Will was Robin (I narrowly got out of spiking his hair for the event... Will's really picky, so it wasn't something I was looking forward to. Thank God we have the Adam West/Burt Ward version as well). Alisdair was a skeleton pirate. I could not find a skeleton costume his size anywhere in this part of the country (and couldn't afford to order one), so it got made from my silk scarves and whatever else we had. I ended up painting on a long-sleeved shirt with glow-in-the-dark fabric paint, which was a big hit.

Boys on the prowl

Since that time, Will's been asking nearly every day if it's Halloween again yet. Once a year is not enough for him. :) The good candy is finally gone, though we still have some twizzlers and stuff left. All in all, good fun.
