So here I was, all primed for doing something constructive with boys this weekend, when I pick up kiddos from school on Friday night and discover that Alisdair is sick again. Bummer. Our weekend plans were thusly curtailed, although Will did get to go to a birthday party and sleepover (thus limiting his exposure to Al's illness... booyah).

Things accomplished:

1) I got a lot of the papers picked up from the floor of my living room, and I also got a good bit of laundry put away for boys. I rediscovered that one of the reasons my laundry keeps piling up once it's clean is because I have a significant shortage in storage for my clothes. I'm going to have to resolve this soon -- more hangers, a new dresser, something. This is nuts. At least it's not all piled on my couch any more.

2) I cleaned part of my bathroom, which is better than cleaning none of it.

3) I cleaned up the yard somewhat.

4) I watched a Netflix movie! This weekend's viewing was The Third Man, starring Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton. It's one of the few European (UK) noir films, but still one of the best ever made. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone. If you haven't seen it and you have a thing for noir, post-WWII Vienna, Orson Welles, or mysteries, do rent it and give it an evening of your time. You'll not be sorry.

5) I played WoW! I didn't do much with my older characters (sigh), but my latest one is now 18th level and pushing 19th. It was fun, and I enjoyed playing. I did get the itch to write now and again, but I wasn't able to get in the right headspace with kiddos around. I'll try again this week.
