So, at work we have these sorta pocket doors on our offices. They're actually hanging from rails on the walls outside our offices, so that they slide open and shut. Today I wanted nothing -- nothing -- so much as to rig up a little doorbell sort of thing that would play the sound the Star Trek doors made when mine opened or closed.

It would be AWESOME.

Other random thought

I have a day-at-a-time knitting calendar. Every Friday there's a new pattern. Today's pattern is a little baby's hat shaped like a Hershey's kiss, complete with silver-white ribbon on the top. So... baby head wrapped up like candy. Cute, and yet very disturbing. I don't think I could do that to anyone's child that I liked, and yet if I didn't like them, why would I knit for them?

A quandry indeed.
