Stuff!

Yesterday I picked up the boys' new eyeglasses. Will's are bright shiny silver frames with oval lenses and look very fashion forward in their own way. Alisdair's are thin plastic yellow tortoise-shell glasses with rectangular-ish lenses. They both look really nice in them, and they were pretty much their own choices. Not what I would have picked, but that's the way it is with kiddos when they start growing up. I'll have to get pics and put them up.

Got my cake ordered for my birthday party and bought the roast to turn into shredded beef for the party. Went to the grocery store and spent a bit more than I wanted, but I got everything I needed so that'll work. Realized I needed to make dinner and found a recipe for Hot Browns, and set upon making it. Toasted Texas toast, sliced turkey, tomato, cheddar cheese sauce, and crumbled bacon browned under the broiler, with salads for boys. Will helped a bit, but mostly I made him work on homework instead. I made the cheese sauce from scratch, and I have to say, I totally nailed it. It was pretty awesome, and given that the recipe was from Cooking Light it wasn't even terrible for me. The boys loved it and ate all of it, complete with salad, and thus we achieved success.

Still have to write my abstract. Got my works together for my bibliography, at least. I have a thought about the paper if not a set direction. It'll suffice.
