Beating my head against a paper wall...
May. 4th, 2010 11:16 pmI've been working on writing a bit as far as my paper is concerned. I've also reviewed a source that is not as useful as I'd hoped, and yet gave me some amazing quotations to work with. I'm slowly forcing myself past that whole initial blank page panic, but it's slow going at the best of times, and now I'm looking around and it's 11 PM and I'm starting to be tired and I can't help but feel that I'm just slightly screwed. I got today off to work on this, but my productivity was not terribly high. Granted, I can sleep in tomorrow a bit and get up rested and start in again, which is what I'll do, and I won't see my kids until after school.... but it's still not what I'd hoped to have done.
I did clean up the yard today before all the rain started, which was good. I did finish reviewing one of my sources and marking potential quotes. I did find out that Al's insurance has approved full coverage for his next set of braces. I did also try to make an appointment for those braces, and fill out a questionaire for Will (which I need to fax in tomorrow), and make myself a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. I also got Rosie into the crate and shut the door and let her be there for a few minutes before I opened the door, called her out, and then gave her a snack and praised her mightily. It's not that I didn't get anything done... it's just that I didn't get the things I wanted. Such is the way of things, I suppose.
