1. I think my best physical feature is my shoulders. I have no good explanation for this.
2. I've got the remains of a strawberry birthmark on my side, now somewhere between a quarter and a half-dollar in size.
3. Music -- good music, anyway -- regularly gives me chills. That and good sex are the only things that really do that, complete with goosebumps and everything. Well, and there is a really nice hot bath... that can have a similar effect, but it's far more hit or miss. The music doesn't have to be of any particular genre, either... I've gotten that reaction from all sorts of different things.
4. Although I have a very good sense of humor, I also have a total blank spot for certain jokes, especially if I don't know someone very well -- if I'm distracted, sex-based jokes for example tend to fly right past me without me ever even noticing. Most of the time I'm with it, but every now and then that sort of situational lack of social perception kicks in and I can't tell what's a joke and what isn't. Talk about awkward.
5. I used to have a pen pal who lived in Scotland when I was a kid. We started writing in 5th grade, and I lost touch with her finally at the beginning of my freshman year in college... she'd just moved, and the letter with her new address was in my car the day I managed to miss the bridge altogether and ended up under it. Somehow along the way from top to bottom it got lost/evaporated/whatever. I always wonder how she is.
6. I used to have a dog named Anaka. I figured it was better to name a dog than a daughter. She was a great dog, though. I still miss her, even with Rosie to keep me company.
7. I can't easily sleep on my back. If I do end up falling asleep while lying on my back, it means I was totally exhausted.
Oh, and in unrelated news, Al has a valentine. She's got blond hair and blue eyes, her name is Phaedra, she has geeky tendencies, and she and Al have formed a club with others devoted to defending the world against their rival arch enemy friend group (Al is the defender of the nighttime). She gave him a valentine. It says, "From Phaedra (Waterstar) to Alisdair (Nightfang)." So, yeah. My son's sweetie is Waterstar, and together she and Nightfang fight crime at recess. Just... yeah. You go, Al. :)
