The fish is dead. Long live...

So each boy has one beta fish apiece at their dad's house. Will's is named Fluffy, and Al's was apparently named Beardy. (I don't know why.) Beardy, however, recently passed from this earthly realm, so his dad got him a new fish instead.

Since the time of Fluffy and Beardy, a new rule has evidently been instituted at their father's house that all pets must be named after a famous person, and you must know who that person was and why you are naming your animal after them.

Alisdair's choice?

Miyamoto. After the Miyamoto who created Pikmin, Metroid Prime, Donkey Kong, etc. The famous game designer. He did the research and everything.

Oy veh. :)

Shigeru Miyamoto also designed the original Legend of Zelda. He is awesome.

If he's looking for names for any other animals, I recommend Gunpei (after Gunpei Yokoi) who, among many other things, was Miyamoto's mentor and also invented the GameBoy.
