Realized I hadn't posted about these.

5) Mean Girls, starring Lindsey Lohan.

I don't know why my friend wanted me to watch this, but watch it I did. When I was able to get over the fact that I was watching a movie that starred Ms. Lohan without my children present, I was forced to admit that it's actually not bad. Not really good, but not bad. Someone actually wrote for it, and it shows. If I were forced to watch it again, I would not weep too bitterly.

6) Death at a Funeral, dir. by Frank Oz.

This movie stars a lot of British actors I didn't know, and an American actor I did (Alan Tudyk). Let's say you're British and your dad dies, and then everything you can imagine going wrong with your significantly (but mundanely) dysfunctional family at a funeral does. That's this film. I think I was expecting it to be edgier than it was, but I got some laughs out of it and was not sorry I'd spent money on it. If you're a fan of vaguely dark British comedy, Alan Tudyk, or the works of Frank Oz, pick it up.

7) A Night At the Museum, starring Ben Stiller

Saw this with my kids and a couple of friends, in and among other stuff going on. It was pretty good, really. Nothing that I'll remember when I'm 50, but a cute little movie that let me feel it was time decently spent. This is due at least in some part to Owen Wilson. I don't know what it is, but the Wilson brothers have got my number. They're both cute in an everyday guy sort of way, but then they both seem genuinely nice on screen, even when you're ready to strangle their characters.

I've seen a couple of other things, but nothing I hadn't seen before, so they don't count. I bet it's a bad sign for reaching 100 when it's nearly June and I'm only on #7, isn't it? :)

I've been wondering if I should see if I could get "Death at a Funeral" through Interlibrary Loan. It's been out for awhile now, so it probably wouldn't be too hard.
