So, I'm going to take a minute and pimp my new employer's product. I'm now working as an editor for Wetpaint (www.wetpaint.com), a provider of wikis/social sites. It takes wikis and makes them easy to use, not to mention adding a lot of other really nice features as well. There's even a new product called Injected that lets you attach user-generated content areas to existing sites -- IGN is using it on some of their pages, and it's going to be on a lot more.
Wetpaint provides a lot of community-focused sites... not only can you make your own, but they've partnered with Warner Brothers, CSI, House, HP, and a number of others. They get community and they're available to help optimize sites to increase traffic and search engine visibility (if that's your thing).
It's free, it's a good tool, and it makes a lot of sense. If you need a wiki for gaming purposes, for your community, for your business, try Wetpaint. Let me know if you do (especially if you're a game company) and I'll hook you up with our community people to help get traffic flowing your way. I'd love to see more of the traditional gaming community increase their visibility and net traffic, and this is a great way to make that happen. Try it and see if you agree.

This may very well be useful for me on an upcoming project, so thanks for the heads-up.
