#10) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

So last weekend, I broke down and left Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on while I did chores and generally bopped around the house. Some bits of note:

1. Undersea life forms still squick me out. Davy Jones didn't bug me, but the barnacles on his crew did the job just fine. Iiiiiiiiicky.

2. I realize there was a story involved here, but honestly I couldn't be bothered. Nor, it seems, could the writers, since they were far too eager to progress to #3.

3. The character development was good, despite the sketchy storyline. Also, Kiera Knightly kissing Johnny Depp. Daaaaaamn.

4. Best line of the film: "Pi-rate."

In other news, I hit double digits in new movies watched! Woo!

When I was in RenFaire, I was actually in the Pirate guild. Worked that guild for about 5 years - learned sea shanties, pirate humor, and knotwork. When I watch pirate movies now, I tend to notice the background details.

As for the kissing....hey, everyone loves to steal a kiss from a naughty pirate ;)
