Today's Menu
Breakfast: 2 eggs, semi-successfully poached. 2 slices Canadian bacon. One roma tomato, sliced and grilled. Cinnamon tea.
Morning snack: Green pepper strips and hummous, also with a little olive oil and paprika for taste.
Lunch: Romaine, tuna salad, cottage cheese, and grape tomatoes. I also tried an olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing that I won't be having again. Bleh.
Afternoon snack: 1 cup Silk Vanilla soymilk.
Dinner:... well, you see, I slept in this morning, so breakfast wasn't until a bit before noon, and then everything just sort of shifted down.
Evening snack/dessert: 1 piece of deli turkey rolled up with 1 piece of swiss cheese.
Things I Have Learned
1) My appetite won't tell me if I'm hungry by and large, but my blood sugar will.
2) I need to get off my ass and make sure I have enough veggies. Today I shorted it. Though, in retrospect, it wasn't that bad.
3) I don't think I'll be having any more soymilk until I get to phase two. It doesn't have a ton of real sugar in it, but it has some. I need to get rid of it and I'm not going to pour it down the drain (there's too much left), but I think I might curtail the indulgence until I'm broadening my diet a bit more.
