Amen, hallelujah, can I get a witness. What a mess. I still have to put together my self-evaluation and read over it again to make sure it actually makes sense, but that's okay. Al's been up late this evening, so that can wait a little longer until I know he's asleep and I can actually concentrate.

I stayed home with Al today... he was feeling a bit under the weather. Turns out it was a good idea, since he went back to bed this morning and slept for another 2 1/2 hours, and he never does that. So today was also work from home day, which I did. Next one his dad gets called in for.

It's too bad I'm out of wine. It would have been a good night to have some.

Does your work give you crap for missing days?

We have someone at my current workplace who calls in late *every day*..and then leaves after a few hours. Always with some new excuse. The rest of us are wondering what type of blackmail this person has on the boss as said person has not been fired yet.
If I tried that stunt every day, I'd probably be booted right-quick.

Well, if I did what your coworker does, then yes, I would. Fortunately I'm not doing that. But I have the vacation time in the bank and they knew I was a single mom coming into this. By alternating days with David, by me working extra hours when I can.... no, they don't give me crap. They know I'm good for it.
