Just got back from a job interview that seems to have gone pretty well. I finished a bit of dishes, got some dinner together after realizing I'd forgotten lunch entirely, and now I'm sitting down and watching the Sounders kick New York's ass. :) Up 2-0 as we near the half, this is just about as well as you could hope a franchise opening game could go.
I still have to finish my paper and deliver it tonight, but that's okay. The prospect of being employed in a couple of weeks (and while it's not official, that's what the indications are) have relieved my stress levels considerably.

Date: 2009-03-20 05:24 pm (UTC)From:I think I might actually enjoy soccer now.
(Kasey Keller's father or uncle or something was one of Gab's soccer coaches, so she was super-jazzed for the game.)
I will say: the Xbox 360 color scheme everywhere makes me want to punch someone. Fortunately, we were seated near a small pocket of New York Red Bull fans, so, well. Yeah. Convenient.
American soccer needs more football hooligans.
Congrats on new employment! YAY!

It isn't new employment yet, and it's working for the Man again, but that's better than sponging off the parents, right? :)
