eurydicebound: (fall down)
Just got an email from the financial aid office. I ended up getting an incomplete on one of my courses last quarter as I ended up about a week late on my final paper, and my professor was kind enough to let me be late with it and turn in the grade later. Of course, the unfortunate thing is that she still hasn't graded it and turned the grade is, and now they're looking at canceling my financial aid because I no longer meet the requirements. That would put me on the hook for about 3600 dollars for this final quarter, as of... oh, about a week from now.

I've sent an email to my professor explaining the situation and asking if she has any idea when she'll be able to get the grade in. I'm planning to call the financial aid office tomorrow and explain the situation and see if I can stave off impending doom. I'm just... can I be done now? I'd really like to be done.

You know, you reminded me that nearly every single semester of college I had to argue, point out, and work around various financial institutions just to keep going to school. And the uncertainty of it all was more than just a little stressful at times. It became a regular, albeit horrendous, exercise of of will and wit that I'd much rather forsake to the dark recesses of time and memory.

Good luck!
